Soccer equipment collected and
 donated to Cameroon last year.

Pictures of the group and kids included
TYA would like to thank every one who donated to this great cause.

The group departed on December 7th and returned on the 18th 2007 . I would say about 80 percent of what we collected was in good condition to go. There were some items that were not in good enough shape in relationship to the cost of shipping. Also there were some odds and ends that were very heavy which also were not cost effective to ship. Those things we could not send are being taken to the local Salvation Army.

Here are the numbers sent:
cleats:72 pair
shirts/jerseys combined number:41
socks: 22
shin guards:28
balls:16

Welcome to TYA Soccer! If you are looking for the team's schedules and rankings please click on the links above (U6, U8, etc) to link to that page.

TYA Soccer is run entirely by volunteer efforts. There are currently several key positions open. Details for these and other volunteers needed to allow the coming season to be a success for our children will be available at registration.

Please make a real effort to contribute your time and talents this year to TYA Soccer.

TYA Soccer is organized for the benefit of the children of the North Penn area with a primary focus on providing fun, safe instructional soccer programs. It is entirely operated by volunteers. There are about 1000 participating players each year.

TYA Soccer is a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA). The Soccer Club has two sections; Intramural and Travel.

Intramural
The TYA Intramural program has adopted the “small-sided” game philosophy of US Youth Soccer which includes the age breakdown and game format.  This includes the youngest leagues playing games with no goalkeepers to maximum opportunity for instruction and touches on the ball.  Our season runs from late July to the end of September. There are 6 age groups:

League

Ages (as of 31-July)

Format

U6

5
Coed

3v3
no goalkeeper

U8

6 & 7

4v4

U10

U12

10 & 11

8v8

U15

12, 13 & 14

11 v 11

Intercommunity

11 v 11

The U6 league is coed while the older ages have separate leagues for boys and girls.   The younger leagues are instructional in nature while the three older leagues (U12, U15 and Intercommunity) are competitive as well as instructional.
