Updated: 01/07/2012 at 7:51 AM
Greetings, and Happy New Year! Its that time of year again and the on-line registration system for TYA Spring Baseball and Softball is now available. As we have done for several years, we are asking all interested players and volunteers to register via the TYA website / Sports Sign Up system, print your invoice, and bring the invoice and a check in to one of the walk-in registration sessions. These sessions are scheduled for: · Saturday January 21, 2012 9:00 AM 12:00 Noon Walton Farm Elementary School · Saturday January 28, 2012 9:00 AM 12:00 Noon Walton Farm Elementary School With ever increasing costs for uniforms, equipment, umpires, field maintenance, insurance and other expenses, you will notice our fees have been increased in 2012. We regret the need increase these fees and remain vigilant in managing our costs, but unfortunately as our costs go up so must our registration fees. Be aware when comparing our prices with other local organizations, however, that TYA Baseball and Softball do not have any "forced fund raisers. There are no hidden fees introduced by forcing you to buy and sell candy, cookies or other commodities. TYA is always looking for local businesses to sponsor our teams. Sponsor names appear on our website and are printed on the T-shirts worn by our players throughout the season. We encourage you to patronize our sponsors and, when you do, let them know how much you appreciate their support of the TYA program. If you are a business owner, or have an employer who might be interested, I encourage you to consider sponsoring one or more TYA sports teams. The baseball program in particular is looking to identify those in our organization who have practical skills which may be of considerable value to the organization carpenters, electricians, plumbers, landscapers, fence installation and repair, computer skills, etc. If you have knowledge of or experience on one of these areas, please complete the on-line skill survey form so we can contact you should the need for such expertise arise. The Baseball and Softball programs have been busy during the off season preparing for our Spring 2012 sports seasons. You are encouraged to offer your suggestions and commit your time to helping these be the best youth athletic programs we can make them. Each sport has an Executive Committee of dedicated volunteers eager to offer the youth of our community a quality athletic experience. Get involved this is your program! Thank you for your continued interest and support we look forward to seeing you around the ball-field very soon this spring!
