How can TYA improve the baseball fields?

TYA to Host Cal Ripken 11U 50/70 SE State Championship Tournament

Another great moment for TYA. By placing 2nd in the 11U Cal Ripken District Tournament, the 11 year old travel team earned a berth in the State Tournament. And in addition to playing for the Ripken State Championship, TYA will be hosting the entire State Tournement right here in Towamencin this coming weekend!!!!

The tournament's skills competition will be held at Bustard Park Friday July 23rd starting at 6:00 pm. The skills competition includes a Homerun derby, a Jack Rabbit (fastest around the bases), an Around the Horn (fastest throwing to various positions), and a Golden Arm (most accurate long throws from the outfield).

The games for the tournament will be held at the Green Lane Field Complex starting Saturday morning (July 24th) and will run through Tuesday evening (July 27th).

This will be the first state tournament TYA Baseball has ever hosted. Please come out and support our town and our team. There will be plenty of food and refreshments being served, face painting, and there will be a professional artist airbrushing baseball helmets!

This is big news for Towamencin. Be proud of your town, your sports organization, and the 11U Titans Travel team for making it into this prestigious tournament.
